STATEHOUSE – State Representative Rhonda Rhoads (R-Corydon) was sworn in today as a member of the 118th General Assembly.

“Hoosiers expect Indiana’s public servants to lead with integrity and humility, and I expect nothing less of every member here,” said newly reelected Speaker of the House, Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis).

Rep. Rhoads was re-elected to represent House District 70, which includes portions of Clark, Floyd and Harrison counties.

“As a former educator, and as a grandma, I know how important education opportunities are for the future of Indiana’s children. Having a good education has the ability to change anyone’s lot in life,” said Rep. Rhoads.

In October, the House Republican Caucus released their legislative agenda, making it clear that their focus will be on financial integrity, jobs and education. The 69 House Republicans are focusing on those priorities and continuing to propel Indiana to be a state where Hoosiers have the ability to own their American Dream.

“I will focus on strengthening our education system and increasing job opportunities for all Hoosiers,” said Rep. Rhoads. “I will ensure that students have the fundamental skills to succeed when they enter the workforce and a strong educational foundation to launch their success.”
