"As a freshman legislator, I have been frustrated over the past five weeks, with the House minority's refusal to participate in the democratic process. It is very satisfying, to say the least, that they have decided to return to their legislative duty and that negotiations and compromise can finally be worked out where it was meant to be-on the House floor. "It is good to know that our work in the recent weeks will not be in vain, and that productivity on the House floor can continue. Time is running out and there is much to accomplish but strengthening Indiana and moving the state forward is what we as legislators signed up to do. "We will be working some long nights over the next few weeks in order to accomplish what is necessary before the end of session." |
