Rep. Rhonda Rhoads (R-Corydon) was appointed as the Vice Chairman of the House Education Committee, and as a member of the House Family, Children and Human Affairs Committee and the Local Government Committee. "As a newly-elected official, I am eager to get the ball rolling for this session and have the opportunity to make my district proud," said Rep. Rhoads. "I am very thankful to Speaker Bosma for the appointment. "Having been a teacher, I am very excited to be selected to serve on the Education Committee, especially since we will be discussing such a critical issue -ensuring our students are obtaining a quality education. "Speaker Bosma continues to push our plan forward to reward Indiana's quality teachers, focus more dollars in the classroom and expand the opportunities available to students, and I plan to do what I can to continue his efforts."
