The Credit goes to the Community

In response to the November 26th letter to the editor “Repair” of the railroad tracks on 421 South, I want to thank all of the constituents who notified me of the necessary railroad repair. My involvement in making sure this railroad crossing was repaired would not have been possible without your valued input. I am also grateful that Clinton Siebert took the initiative to notify the Indiana Department of Transportation to address this issue along with many others.

President Truman was once quoted saying, “It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.” I am thrilled to see the construction project come to fruition, but it took a collaborative effort to ensure the railroad crossing was suitable for travel.

I cross the railroad on a daily basis, along with hundreds of others, and thought “we need to get this fixed.” Thank you all for your calls and concerns. It is the people like you who make the government more efficient, and I will always serve the needs of those I represent to the best of my ability.
