Fallen firefighters honored at the Statehouse

STATEHOUSE – State Rep. Randy Frye (R-Greensburg) attended the Indiana Fallen Firefighters Annual Remembrance ceremony today. The ceremony was held at the Indiana Law Enforcement and Firefighters Memorial on the west side of the Statehouse in Indianapolis.

“The men recognized today paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect and serve their communities,” said Rep. Frye. “The selfless courage and valor that these firefighters displayed to save innocent lives deserves the highest distinction and admiration.”

Before today’s ceremony, the R. Tiny Adams Fallen Firefighters Motorcycle Ride left the Carmel Fire Department, to honor Adams, a retired firefighter and state representative who died in 2005.

The event was hosted by the Professional Fire Fighters’ Union of Indiana.
