Legislature Honors Fallen Marine
Brown and Bartholomew County Delegations Sponsor Resolution
STATEHOUSE- United States Marine Sergeant Jeremy R. McQueary, a resident of Brown County and a native of Columbus, Indiana, who was killed by an improvised explosive device on February 18, 2010, while supporting combat operations in Afghanistan was memorialized by the Indiana General Assembly on Wednesday.
Senate Concurrent Resolution 46, sponsored by legislators representing Bartholomew and Brown counties which honored the service and sacrifice of Sergeant McQueary.
"Sergeant McQueary in the call of duty, gave his life for his country," said State Representative Eric Koch (R-Bedford), a co-sponsor of the resolution, whose district includes parts of Bartholomew and Brown counties. "Through this resolution, we - on behalf of all Hoosiers - forever honor his memory and his service to our nation."

Rep. Koch serves House District 65, which includes parts of Bartholomew, Brown, Jackson, and Lawrence counties, and is Assistant Republican Caucus Chairman.
