Rep. Mark Messmer (R-Jasper) issued the following statement in reaction to the Governor’s State of the State Address at the Statehouse.

STATEHOUSE – “During the State of the State address this evening I felt that Governor Pence could not have spoken truer words – his remarks applied to Hoosiers everywhere. He addressed the topics of education, job growth and fiscal integrity – the key components in the House Republicans’ agenda.

“These priorities are not mutually exclusive and provide the path to continued success for Hoosiers. Tailoring workforce development and education curricula to meet the needs of Indiana’s private sector economy will lead to more jobs being created.

“Together, we can accomplish so much for our great state. I look forward to serving the state of Indiana with Governor Pence in the upcoming legislative session.”
