“Job creation and economic development are key factors to Indiana’s future success. These are issues on which it is vital that the executive branch and the legislative branch are in agreement and present a united front. After tonight’s State of the State address, I am confident that our two branches will continue to work together for the betterment of Indiana.
“Last session, the governor, in conjunction with the General Assembly, created the Indiana Career Council (ICC) to coordinate and align Indiana’s fragmented workforce development system. This session, I look forward to continuing to build on that positive work, and not only attract more businesses to our state, but also ensure that Hoosiers are prepared with the proper skills necessary to fill those jobs.”
