This year please note the following changes to turkey hunting season:
- adding seven days to the early archery portion of the fall turkey season
- adding a second (late) archery turkey season to coincide with the late deer archery season (they are at the same time)
- expanding the fall turkey firearms season in the south for seven more days (12 days total - including two weekends)
The season dates and locations are as follows:
An individual can hunt a wild turkey with archery equipment, including crossbows, statewide, from Oct. 1-31, 2010, and from Dec. 4, 2010-Jan. 1, 2011.
An individual can hunt a wild turkey with legal firearms from Oct. 20-31, 2010 in the following counties only:

- Franklin
- Gibson

An individual who hunts wild turkeys from Dec. 4-19, 2010, must wear hunter orange.
