STATEHOUSE - State Representative Milo Smith (R-Columbus) was honored with the Small Business Champion Award by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce for his hard work and dedication to small business advocacy and growth.
“I am humbled to receive the Small Business Champion Award,” said Rep. Smith. “Small businesses are the backbone of the Indiana economy and represent Hoosier perseverance and hard work.”
Rep. Smith received the award at the Chamber’s 2015 Central Indiana Legislative Preview, which featured a panel discussion by General Assembly caucus leaders on what issues to expect during the upcoming legislative session.
“As a legislator, I will continue to advocate for the small business community in Indiana,” said Rep. Smith. “Because small businesses create so many Hoosier jobs, I believe it is crucial to advance policies that will allow them to continue to grow.”
Small Business Champion Awards have been given annually since 1993. The award was based on voting and advocacy during the 2014 legislative session.
