Hamm ICADV Donation
Start Date: 11/18/2014 Start Time: 12:00 AM
End Date: 11/18/2014
STATEHOUSE – On Organization Day, State Representative Dick Hamm (R-Richmond) joined House Speaker Brian Bosma (R-Indianapolis), legislators, staff and other state office holders in donating linens, gift cards and various supplies to the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ICADV) at the Statehouse.

“Donating items to the ICADV was a moving experience,” said Rep. Hamm. “One in every four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime which is why I felt it was important to join my colleagues in supporting an organization that provides hope and resources for the victims.”

Founded in 1980, the ICADV is a nonprofit organization that seeks to prevent and eliminate domestic violence by increasing public awareness, training advocates, providing legal assistance and helping people form healthy relationships. ICADV officials were present at the Statehouse to accept the donations.

“Improving public safety will be a major priority during the upcoming legislative session,” said Rep. Hamm. “The effort to end domestic violence is a key component in the overall goal of securing safety and peace of mind for all Hoosiers.”
