[r52] Rep. Yarde reflects on 2012 legislative session (3/12/2012)

Monday, March 12, 2012

Start Date: 3/12/2012
End Date: 3/12/2012
STATEHOUSE— “Going into this legislative session, we focused on getting Hoosiers back to work. With the 2012 session now finished, I believe we have further strengthened Indiana’s job climate and created an economic atmosphere that will attract businesses to our state. This will bring jobs to Indiana, which will most importantly bring jobs to Hoosiers.

“I am extremely proud that Indiana passed legislation that strengthened efforts to prevent the use of synthetic drugs and bath salts. This legislation further protects Hoosiers from the harmful effects of synthetic drugs.

“The General Assembly faced many challenges this session, but those challenges were met with hard work to continue to make Indiana stand head and shoulders above the rest. It has been a productive legislative session, and I am proud of all we accomplished.”

Rep. David Yarde represents District 52 which includes parts of LaGrange and Noble Counties. Rep. Yarde serves as Vice Chair of the Family, Children and Human Affairs Committee. He is also a member of the Elections and Apportionment, Roads and Transportation and Utilities and Energy Committees.
