Rep. Dave Yarde (R-Garrett) says this legislative session was a victory for Indiana. Today was Sine Die, or "Last Day," at the Indiana Statehouse. "We really reached across the aisle this year, especially in these last few days of session-in order to achieve positive changes for Hoosiers," said Rep. Yarde. "Employers and teachers can both breathe a little easier knowing what we accomplished." One measure passed today will repeal the unemployment insurance tax increase on businesses scheduled to go into effect in January 2011, and another grants schools the flexibility to shuffle various earmarked funds into the general fund. -30- |
