STATEHOUSE— State Rep. David Yarde (R-Garrett) is strongly encouraging college students and graduates interested in gaining professional experience and learning more about the legislative process to apply for this year’s internship program with the Indiana House of Representatives. Individuals interested in the internship program have four different areas to consider when applying: member services, media, computer/technology and policy/fiscal. For a detailed description of each area and additional information on the internship program, please visit the website listed above. Applicants are encouraged to work with their school in order to obtain academic credit for the internship. Most colleges and universities in Indiana offer class credit for this internship. “I encourage all qualified candidates to apply to the House internship program,” said Rep. Yarde. “Interns play a key role at the Statehouse during the legislative session. I believe anyone who partakes in the program will find the experience to be rewarding.” -30- State Representative David Yarde serves District 52 which includes parts of LaGrange, Noble and DeKalb Counties. |
