STATEHOUSE- “It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of State Representative Phyllis Pond. I often looked to her for advice on education matters because of her vast knowledge in that area. “There was certainly never a dull moment around Phyllis. The desk where I currently work at the Statehouse is actually one of her old desks. She wasn’t shy about letting me know that if she ever had the opportunity, she would not hesitate to pull rank on me and get that window office near the kitchenette back! She always knew how to make us laugh. Her experience both in the legislature as well as in her district will truly be missed.” -30- |
