The fourth annual "Hoosier Cheer for our Heroes" campaign is an initiative started by Lt. Governor Becky Skillman.
"The holidays are a hard time to be away from family," Rep. Tim Neese (R-Elkhart). "The men and women are protecting our country, so now Indiana residents can send a card or letter to show our support."
All cards and letters must be received in the Lt. Governor's office no later than Wednesday, November 18. Mail can be sent to the following address or e-mailed to lg@lg.in.gov.

Before writing a letter or crafting a card please follow some of these guidelines in your message: . Keep your message light-hearted and encouraging. Talk about the weather, your family, pets and hobbies, family traditions for the holidays, well-wishes for safety and success. . Be creative! Artwork, especially from kids, is always a plus!
Please leave these items OUT: . Using one envelope for large numbers of cards or letters. Envelopes are, of course, acceptable for one or two cards or letters. . Using glitter, confetti or other messy art supplies on your cards or letters. . Candy, money or other items.
