STATEHOUSE – Rep. Tim Neese (R-Elkhart) is pleased to announce that Agdia Inc., located in Elkhart, is one of the 25 companies named as the 2012 Indiana Companies to Watch. The Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), along with business and economic leaders, recognizes these high-performing companies for their growth and positive impact on Indiana’s economy. The companies will be honored Thursday, Aug. 23, at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in Indianapolis. The 25 companies listed employ over 1,000 full-time personnel with the potential to generate over $290 million in revenue this year. “It is a notable recognition for Agdia Inc. to be selected as a 2012 Indiana Company to Watch,” said Rep. Neese. “This business is a success story for our region showcasing that with the right tax climate and access to capital companies can flourish. I am confident that more companies will be looking to follow their lead.” In operation since 1981, Agdia Inc. performs and develops examinations for plant pathogens. Providing a wide array of diagnostic analyses, the corporation utilizes different technologies to meet the agricultural industries’ rigorous testing requirements. The testing services operate closely with researchers, diagnosticians and growers to provide efficient and cost effective results. Agdia currently employs 54 full-time staff members. Recent growth has positioned the company to hire additional employees in 2013.
