The majority of U.S. job positions now require education beyond high school – you need critical thinking, information management, communication skills, and technical know-how. The Department of Workforce Development has created a program online, through WorkOne, to equip Hoosiers with the necessary skills needed to compete. The online courses allow participants to improve their job knowledge and expertise and can lead to a National Career Readiness Certificate, a credentialed document. This initiative will keep Indiana’s workforce highly skilled and ready to compete for jobs. Prospective applicants can register online at: http://ingov.wincshost.com/ , or at a local WorkOne. A full list of WorkOne locations can be found online at: www.in.gov/dwd/WorkOne/. Participants can take courses from any computer with Internet access once enrolled. Computer access is available at every WorkOne. |
