STATEHOUSE-"I am pleased to say that we were able to pass positive legislation that will, in fact, strengthen Indiana. We lost some time in the middle, but we worked together for the benefit of all Hoosiers. "We passed legislation that will foster job creation as businesses relocate to and expand in Indiana. We passed a balanced budget without raising taxes. We also were able to restore some funding to education that will be used to expand full-day kindergarten to every school district in the state. "We finished this session with a strong and effective effort and will continue to work through the interim to protect our communities." -30-
