“It was great to see so many people come out to ride and support the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund,” said Rep. VanNatter. “Everyone had a great time and helped advocate for an excellent cause. It is very rewarding to be able to help families who have sacrificed so much for our country.” The bikers took off from the Statehouse at 10 a.m. and completed a ride through eight counties, finishing at a French Lick Resort at 5 p.m. Stops included lunch in Shakamak State Park in Jasonville and a gas stop at Gastof in Montgomery. Prior to the ride’s start, Gov. Daniels thanked everyone for their participation as well as their support of the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund. The annual rides have raised roughly $30,000 for National Guard families. Along with raising money, the event is also designed to raise awareness of motorcycle safety. This was the second year that Rep. VanNatter participated in the ride. He was joined by his wife, Felicia. “There are so many wonderful families we can help by contributing to the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund,” said Rep. VanNatter. “It was an honor to participate in this event for the second year in a row, and I am happy to know that many Hoosiers will benefit from it.” -30- Rep. VanNatter represents parts of Boone, Clinton, Hamilton and Howard Counties. |
