LEP Special Fasteners, Inc. to Expand With 160 Jobs in Indiana STATEHOUSE-State Representative Heath VanNatter (R-Kokomo) attended an event with Lt. Governor Becky Skillman and executives from LEP Special Fasteners. LEP Special Fasteners, a manufacturer of specialty steel fasteners, today announced the company's plans to relocate parts of its operations from Illinois to Frankfort. They plan to bring 160 new full-time jobs to Indiana by 2015. "I am very pleased that LEP Special Fasteners has decided to take advantage of the great incentives that Indiana has to offer," said Rep. VanNatter. "I truly believe that we will continue to see more companies expanding and relocating to Indiana as a result of the pro-business legislation brought forward this past session." According to the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, LEP Special Fasteners, Inc. was offered up to $3,000,000 in performance-based tax credits and up to $200,000 in training grants based on the company's job creation plans. Clinton County has approved additional tax abatements for the company. LEP Special Fasteners, Inc. specializes in manufacturing standard and custom-designed ferrous, nonferrous and special alloy fasteners. They also manufacture build-to-print large diameter fasteners for the agricultural and transportation equipment, construction and fabricated metal products for commercial and industrial maintenance markets. Additionally, they offer commercial heat treating, metallurgical and finishing services for fasteners.
