Rep. Davis comments on Sine Die Please include the following statement from State Rep. Bill Davis (R-Portland) in your coverage of the last day of session. STATEHOUSE -- "After a culmination of much work and countless hours we have successfully completed the people's business. As a result we have fulfilled our promise to strengthen Indiana from a multi-faceted approach. "We successfully passed a fiscally responsible budget that will not raise taxes. In addition we were able to send a little more money than anticipated on K-12 education after projected state revenues were higher than expected. "We passed legislation that promotes a stable and appealing business climate that will attract businesses and jobs to our state. We passed legislation that helps out Hoosiers that are rooted in agriculture to ensure that we do everything we can to help them out in these difficult economic times. "Through our efforts we have firmly established Indiana as a model to lead our nation out of the economic recession and set a path to a bright future for Hoosiers and for our nation." -30-
