STATEHOUSE – State Representative Mike Karickhoff (R-Kokomo) spoke today at the Indiana Urban Mayors Conference sponsored by the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns (IACT). Indiana’s largest municipalities were represented at the conference to discuss issues and problems unique to urban areas. “It was great to see so many people together, from both political parties, collaborating and discussing pertinent issues facing Hoosier cities,” said Rep. Karickhoff. “Having the opportunity to speak on behalf of the House Republicans and share our perspective on urban issues was an honor.” IACT is an alliance of public officials who seek to improve the quality of life in Indiana through effective government. All four caucuses had a representative speak at the event held in Carmel today at the Center for the Performing Arts from 11:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. -30-
State Rep. Mike Karickhoff (R-Kokomo) serves on the Ways and Means Committee and the Natural Resources Committee. He is also the Vice Chairman of the Indiana Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations. Rep. Karickhoff represents portions of Howard and Grant counties, most of the city of Kokomo and the towns of Swayzee and Greentown.
