The Chamber's Vote Analysis is published after every legislative session and highlights the pro-economy, pro-jobs voting records for state lawmakers. The legislator's scores are determined by bills and select amendments' impact on the state's economy. Rep. Karickhoff scored a 95 percent on both the chamber's pro-job and pro-economy results. "A large majority of the legislation that I focused on this session was related to economic development and finding ways to help stimulate job creation," said Rep. Karickhoff. Some pieces of legislation included in the analysis that the Indiana Chamber highlights was: HEA 1004, which increases access to start-up capital for Indiana businesses in addition to lowering the corporate income tax rate; HEA 1006, which promotes economic development locally and regionally; and HEA 1007, which allows enhanced abatement schedules and hiring incentives to encourage local job growth. "It is important that we keep searching for ways to develop businesses and bring more jobs to our district and the State of Indiana," said Rep. Karickhoff. "It is great to be recognized by the chamber for supporting bills that will help us reach those goals." All scores and a full report can be viewed on the Indiana Chamber's website at: |
