STATEHOUSE -"Whether Republican or Democrat, every elected official in the statehouse is here to do the work of the people. However, when a group of those elected officials decide to walkout and refuse to let legislative process continue, let alone not come to work to discuss these bills, the people of Indiana lose. Legislation, 22 bills to be exact, is being threatened by, what can only be described as, neglectful actions by House Democrats. "There will be a lot of losers today if House Democrats refuse to return to the Statehouse today, but those losers aren't the legislators they are taxpayers, they are retired teachers, they are our family, our friends, and our neighbors." -30- |
