STATEHOUSE — “I was pleased to share many of the priorities that Governor Pence outlined in his State of the State address, including strengthening our state’s education system. Preparing Hoosier students for the future has always been my top priority, and by working with the governor, I am confident we will continue to make sure our children are receiving the tools and resources they need to succeed in today’s competitive marketplace.
“As Chairman of the K-12 Ways and Means Subcommittee, I applaud the governor’s commitment to providing adequate funding for our local schools. This session, we must also work to address discrepancies in the funding formula as we continue to focus dollars on where they are needed the most – the classroom.”
