STATEHOUSE — “Under the leadership of Chairman Brown, I and the rest of the House Ways Means Committee crafted a fiscally sound budget that protects Hoosier taxpayers while maintaining healthy reserves. House Republicans have a proven track record of managing our finances responsibly, and I am pleased we have continued that legacy by crafting an honestly balanced budget that lives within our state’s means.

“As Chairman of the K-12 Ways and Means Subcommittee, I have worked diligently to make sure Hoosier schools are receiving adequate funding, and I am proud our budget has made the largest investment in K-12 education in Indiana’s history. In fact, by allocating over $16 billion to K-12 education over the next two years, it accounts for more than half of our entire budget.”
