STATEHOUSE-Rep. Bill Friend (R-Macy) released the following statement today in response to Gov. Mitch Daniels' State of the State address. "Indiana's plans to create an atmosphere in which jobs can flourish have made us a leader in the nation. We have avoided many of the pit falls that have hurt other states, and we are adamant about not raising or creating new taxes. I want to continue to improve our educational process because that is critical to working our way out of this economic downturn. I know the governor is happy with our progress thus far, and I stand by his statements to continue to help Hoosier taxpayers and families grow and prosper."
