Rep. Friend’s reaction to State of the State Address

STATEHOUSE — “I’m pleased to hear the message from the governor and his vision for the state and session moving forward. Many of his priorities align with our agenda and the importance of focusing on our education system, specifically early education and vocational education. A great education is the best job creator for Hoosiers, and we want to give students the best start possible.

“The governor also highlighted our state’s expansive transportation network. It is a key selling point in attracting businesses here, and we need to financially support, maintain and construct our infrastructure to keep up with current and future demands.

“I’m excited for the work ahead of us this session, and I am eager to support policy initiatives that will keep Indiana on the right path.”
