STATEHOUSE - The Indiana House of Representatives today honored Indiana FFA Adviser Robert Juncker for his retirement after 30 years of dedication to Indiana agricultural education.
Among those paying tribute to Juncker was Rep. Bill Friend (R-Macy).
"Robert's contributions to Indiana agriculture are greatly appreciated by rural communities across the state," said Rep. Friend. "He has provided the leadership and vision to transform FFA into a very modern organization."
In addition to his service as FFA state adviser, Juncker is currently Purdue University's supervisor for the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the College of Education. He also is a member of Team Ag Ed of Indiana, the Indiana Association of Agricultural Educators, the National Association of Agricultural Educators and the Indiana FFA Foundation Board.
"With Robert's retirement, we now have some big shoes to fill," said Rep. Friend. "From local to statewide FFA events, he has had an impact on young Hoosiers' lives. I hope even though he is retired, he will not stop teaching and staying involved." |
