STATEHOUSE - The Family and Social Services Administration's mobile office will be in Peru on Friday, June 5.

 

The FSSA's mobile office will be at the Area Five Agency on Aging and Community Services parking lot, 655 E. Main St., Peru, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, June 5.

 

Staff members will be available with information about state assistance programs, applications for state civil benefits and food stamps, temporary assistance and Medicaid benefits.

 

The mobile office is equipped with several computers and a satellite, so applications can be processed and approved quickly.

 

"This is a great service offered by the FSSA, and I am glad the state is focusing on our community," said Rep. Bill Friend (R-Macy). I hope everyone who is eligible for state assistance benefits, and has had trouble applying or receiving them, can visit the mobile office."

 

The Division of Family Resources also has an office at 1200 Kitty Hawk Ave., Suite 208, Peru.
