(STATEHOUSE) March 6, 2008 - "I am deeply saddened by the passing of Senator Ford," said Rep. Bill Friend (R-Macy). "He was an excellent senator who took care of his constituents with town halls, meetings and personal contact. He was very involved with technology and modernization of the legislative process.
"On a personal note, my oldest son was Ford's campaign manager in his first run for state senate, in which he was successful.
"Indiana lost a tremendous advocate for good government. He will be terrible missed."
