Elkhart County St. Joseph County Statement: Rep. Wesco reacts to Adjournment of 2012 Session STATEHOUSE – “I am very encouraged by the progress we have made during the 2012 legislative session. Despite the time constraints of a short session, the General Assembly worked diligently over the course of these past few months to pass legislation that we hope to see improve the lives of Hoosiers. “We were able to place anti-human trafficking legislation on Governor Daniels’ desk prior to the start of the Super Bowl thus making it the first bill signed by the Governor. We also designed measures to improve economic development in our state that will hopefully begin putting Hoosiers back to work. “In a struggling economy, it was our primary goal to give the people of Indiana every possible opportunity to be successful.” -30- |
