STATEHOUSE – Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) announced today the appointment of Rep. Tom Dermody (R-LaPorte) as leadership in the Ways and Means Committee. Rep. Dermody has served as a legislator since 2006 and for the past two years has been the Chairman of the Ways and Means Higher Education Subcommittee. In addition to Rep. Dermody’s appointment, Rep. Tim Brown (R-Crawfordsville) will serve as the new Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee. “I have no doubt that this fiscal leadership team will continue our strong record of balancing the state’s budget and causing our state to live within its means. It is our goal to bring fiscal integrity to our state and to provide an economic climate to spur job creation, and this is the team to do just that,” said Speaker Bosma. -30- Rep.
