(STATEHOUSE) Jan. 8, 2008 - Rep. Tom Dermody (R-LaPorte) announced today two town hall meetings in LaCrosse and Wanatah. These meetings are open to the public, and they will focus on proposed solutions to Indiana's current property tax crisis.

"More than 500 bills will be proposed during this short legislative session, but I remain focused on delivering authentic and dramatic property tax reform," said Rep. Dermody. "I am looking to continue the dialogue in our communities regarding the best way to solve the property tax situation. With this in mind, I urge concerned citizens to attend one of this Thursday's meetings where we can discuss the options available to the legislature in 2008."
