Rep. Dermody supports moving on without House Democrats

The following statement from State Rep. Tom Dermody (R-LaPorte) is in response to a conference held by Speaker of the House Brian Bosma (R-Indianapolis) and Senate President Pro Tempore David Long (R-Fort Wayne) on March 18, 2011:

STATEHOUSE - "The decisions made today by the leaders of the House and Senate to not let this legislative session be derailed and to continue working is one I wholeheartedly support. We have constitutional responsibilities we must fulfill or Hoosier families will pay the price for the House Democrats neglecting their elected duties.

"Halting the democratic process cannot be allowed to continue, and I'm happy to hear that three caucuses will be working together to stop the disturbing attempts to only represent special interest groups and not the majority of the Hoosier population."
