STATEHOUSE -- Please use this statement from State Rep. Tom Dermody (R-LaPorte) in your coverage of Gov. Daniels repeal of new Statehouse security measures.

“I fully support Gov. Daniels decision to revoke the cap on the number of people allowed in the Statehouse at one time,” said Rep. Dermody. “I agree that the authorities need to be mindful of safety and that security should be monitored, but Hoosiers should be free to access the Statehouse. Feedback from Hoosiers allows us to better represent them and I’m pleased their voices will continue to be heard at the Statehouse.”
