Rep. Olthoff receives committee appointments
STATEHOUSE - House Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) announced committee assignments and leadership appointments for the Indiana House Republican Caucus.
State Representative Julie Olthoff (R-Crown Point) has been appointed to the Government and Regulatory Reform; Commerce, Small Business and Economic Development; and Family, Children and Human Affairs committees.
“I am excited for the opportunity to apply my experience as a small business owner in my role as a Commerce, Small Business and Economic Development committee member,” said Rep. Olthoff. “First-hand knowledge provides realistic and insightful perspectives on how to advance economic development and small business operations throughout the state.”
Standing committees are an integral part of the legislative process. Committees with specific expertise receive public testimony and work out the details of proposed legislation before it is heard on the House floor.
“I am confident in the abilities of each of these leaders, and I know they are all eager to begin their work,” said Speaker Bosma.
