STATEHOUSE (April 29, 2019) – State Rep. Jim Pressel (R-Rolling Prairie) recently met with local students who served as pages at the Statehouse.
“It is always nice to hear from the young people in our community,” Pressel said. “Paging is a great opportunity for students to learn about their state government and interact with lawmakers from across the state. I hope to see many more kids from our area take advantage of this program in the future.”
As House pages, students toured the Statehouse, helped staff with daily tasks and met with Pressel to learn more about the legislative process:
Students between the ages of 13 to 18 who are interested in paging next legislative session can learn more at www.indianahouserepublicans.com/pageprogram. Participants receive an excused absence from school and groups can request to page together.
State Rep. Jim Pressel (R-Rolling Prairie) represents House District 20,
which includes portions of LaPorte and Starke counties.
