STATEHOUSE (Dec. 4, 2020) – State Rep. Jim Pressel (R-Rolling Prairie) was recently appointed to serve as chair of the House Roads and Transportation Committee.
Pressel's leadership role comes after serving on the committee since 2018. In that time, Pressel co-authored Indiana's ban on holding or using electronic devices while behind the wheel, and supported the state's long-term infrastructure investment plan.
"Our state's transportation system is key to economic growth and directly impacts our quality of life," Pressel said. "From safety and functionality to vetting new technology, this committee will continue to work hard on behalf of Hoosier taxpayers."
Last year, CNBC America’s Top States for Business ranked Indiana No. 1 in the nation for infrastructure.
