STATEHOUSE (Nov. 20, 2018) – John Prescott of Union City took the oath of office today to serve as state representative for House District 33.
Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush administered the oath in the House Chamber of the Statehouse during Organization Day, the formal start to the legislative session.
“East Central Indiana has always been my home,” Prescott said. “I am fortunate to know the community, the citizens and their values very well, which gives me the insight I need to represent our district. I look forward to working on issues affecting our area and the state.”
Prescott is a graduate of Winchester Community High School. He now works on the Prescott Family Farm and resides in Union City with his wife, Brooke, and son, Grayson. Prescott is a member of Poplar Run United Baptist Church and participates in the Randolph County Young Farmers organization where he serves as the president.
