STATEHOUSE (Nov. 22, 2022) – Kyle Pierce of Anderson took the oath of office today to serve as state representative for House District 36.
Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush administered the oath to all House lawmakers during a swearing-in ceremony in the House Chamber of the Statehouse during Organization Day, the formal start to the 2023 legislative session.
"I've met and talked with hundreds of Madison County residents who have voiced their concerns about a wide range of issues they face," Pierce said. "I look forward to helping tackle those issues at the Statehouse. I'm proud to call Anderson my home, and I'm eager to get to work for the great people in this community."
Pierce works as the director of development for the College of Health at the Ball State University Foundation. He received a bachelor's degree from Ball State University and a juris doctor degree from the Indiana University Robert McKinney School of Law.
The grandson of two lifelong General Motors employees, Pierce said he understands the need for good jobs for Hoosiers and a quality education for their children. As a legislator, he said he'll prioritize economic growth, expanding school options for Indiana's children and keeping communities safe. Pierce lives in Anderson with his wife, Chloe, and their daughter.
