STATEHOUSE (May 9, 2023) – State Reps. Zach Payne (R-Charlestown) and Karen Engleman (R-Georgetown) recently welcomed Clark County students to the Statehouse where they participated in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2023 legislative session.

As pages, the students assisted lawmakers and staff with daily duties, toured offices of all branches of government in the Statehouse, and joined Payne and Engleman on the House floor to witness and learn about the legislative process.

"Paging is a fun experience for students, where they get to explore the Statehouse and learn more about Indiana," Payne said. "I encourage all young Hoosiers to take advantage of this unique and rewarding opportunity."

These area students served as pages during the 2023 legislative session:

"It's always refreshing to see new faces at the Statehouse engaging with their local legislators," Engleman said. "This is a great opportunity not only for students to meet lawmakers, but also learn more about public service."

Engleman said students ages 13 to 18 should consider participating during the 2024 legislative session.
