STATEHOUSE (Dec. 16, 2016) — State Rep. Julie Olthoff (R-Crown Point) was recently selected to serve on the House Committee on Commerce, Small Business and Economic Development.
She was also named to the House Committee on Family, Children and Human Affairs and the House Committee on Veterans Affairs and Public Safety.
“Working within our committees, legislators can readily apply their personal experience to make better, more informed decisions for Indiana,” Olthoff said. “I’m looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and getting to work this upcoming session.”
Standing committee assignments are made biennially after each election. On Jan. 4, House lawmakers will convene at 1:30 p.m. in the House Chamber for the first day of the 2017 legislative session.
