STATEHOUSE (June 23, 2016) — State Rep. Julie Olthoff (R-Crown Point) will be serving on the Interim Study Committee on Commerce and Economic Development.
In preparation for the 2017 legislative session, which begins in January, interim study committee members meet to examine assigned topics, gather testimonies and identify potential legislation.
“As Indiana’s economy continues to strengthen, we will remain proactive in our workforce development efforts,” Olthoff said. “This committee will keep on task as we examine best practices and review policies that foster economic development.”
Olthoff said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are also welcomed to attend.
Rep. Julie Olthoff (R-Crown Point) represents House District 19, which includes a portion of Lake County.
