STATEHOUSE (Feb. 9, 2022) – State Rep. Julie Olthoff (R-Crown Point) and State Sen. Rick Niemeyer (R-Lowell) invite Lake County residents to a legislative update meeting on Saturday, Feb. 12 in Crown Point.

The public meeting will start at 9 a.m. at the Crown Point Library located at 122 N. Main St.

Olthoff and Niemeyer will discuss bills being considered during the 2022 legislative session, which recently crossed the halfway mark, and answer questions.

“This is a great opportunity to share your thoughts on issues facing our area of the state,” Olthoff said. “I encourage community members to stop by, ask questions and catch up on the work being done at the Statehouse.”

"Public meetings are an excellent way for our local communities to get involved and learn more about what we're doing at the Statehouse on behalf of our constituents," Niemeyer said. "I look forward to speaking with those who are present and answering questions they may have on legislation I am working on this session."

Olthoff and Niemeyer encourage those who are unable to attend to reach out anytime with questions or input. Olthoff can be reached at h19@iga.in.gov or by calling 317-234-9499. Niemeyer can be reached at Senator.Niemeyer@iga.in.gov or by calling 317-232-9489.
