STATEHOUSE (Dec. 13, 2021) – State Rep. Julie Olthoff (R-Crown Point) was recently appointed vice chair of the House Public Health Committee.
Olthoff, a member of the committee, will fill the vice chair position previously held by State Rep. Steve Davisson (R-Salem), who died in September after a battle with cancer.
"In this new role, I will serve with the same integrity and passion as my dear friend Steve, and work hard on behalf of all Hoosiers," Olthoff said. "In the coming months, we will be examining a lot of important issues related to health care, its costs and programs. This will be a busy session, and I look forward to getting to work."
Olthoff also serves as a member of the House Committee on Veterans Affairs and Public Safety, and the House Family, Children and Human Affairs Committee.
House standing committees will meet throughout the legislative session, which is set to begin Jan. 4.
