STATEHOUSE (Dec. 20, 2024) – With the next legislative session quickly approaching, local lawmakers encourage Hoosiers to take their online surveys and offer feedback on important issues.
To start, Hoosiers should visit their state representative's webpage and click on the "Take My Survey" button.
Northeast Indiana representatives' webpages include:
"Understanding the concerns that matter the most to those living and working in House District 18 is essential as I work on crafting new legislation," Abbott said. "I look forward to receiving feedback from constituents through the survey and during the upcoming session."
To complete online surveys, Hoosiers must be a resident of the district and submit it by the Dec. 31 deadline. Constituents can check which House district they reside in by visiting the Indiana General Assembly's website at iga.in.gov, clicking on "Find Your Legislator" on the homepage and entering a home address. Constituents can also expect to receive or may have already received a copy of their state representative's survey mailer in their mailbox.
"The feedback gathered from these surveys helps us focus on legislation that reflects the needs and values of the communities we serve," Isa said. "I encourage Hoosiers to participate and share your thoughts with us."
The 2025 legislative session begins Jan. 8 and must conclude by April 29. Hoosiers can follow session proceedings at iga.in.gov, where they can find information on proposed legislation and watch livestreams of committee hearings and session.
"For Indiana to keep moving forward, it's vital for Hoosiers to stay engaged and share their opinions with state lawmakers by completing the 2025 issue survey," Smaltz said. "Your responses provide valuable insight into the issues you consider the most important."
Hoosiers also can stay updated during the legislative session by signing up for their legislator's email newsletter at IndianaHouseRepublicans.com and entering their email address under "Subscribe to eNews," or by calling 317-232-9600.
