STATEHOUSE (Dec. 10, 2020) – State Rep. Doug Miller (R-Elkhart) was recently appointed to serve as chair of the House Government and Regulatory Reform Committee.

He will also serve on the House Commerce, Small Business and Economic Development Committee.

"Local governments need flexibility to support their residents, while also maintaining transparency with the public," Miller said. "As chair of the House Government and Regulatory Reform Committee, I am committed to advancing policies that eliminate bureaucratic red tape, help Indiana run more effectively and save taxpayer dollars."

Miller, a small-business owner, said he will also use his experience to help guide him as he examines state policies impacting Indiana's job creators and economic development.

He said House standing committees will meet throughout the legislative session, which is scheduled to kick off on Jan. 4. Access committee hearings, calendars and agendas online at Visit or click here for the full list of House standing committee appointments.
