Miller laces up sneakers to fight cancer
STATEHOUSE (Jan. 19, 2016) – State Rep. Doug Miller (R-Elkhart) paired his sneakers with his suit today at the Statehouse to help raise cancer awareness.
“Anyone can get cancer, no matter their age, gender or even overall health,” Miller said. “This year, supporting this event is incredibly poignant to me as my father quietly battled and beat cancer a second time in 2015. It’s my privilege to share this day with others across the state!”
The Suits and Sneakers challenge is an annual event sponsored by the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches to help raise cancer awareness and support those affected by the disease.
